These are the women who make change. MyFight is honored to provide a channel for their courage-woven products to reach a world proud to wear them. These makers and the community workshops and local businesses of which they are a part are inspiring the possibility of a better and brighter future in their home countries. It’s a beautiful future, too; a future as big as the hearts who are Fighting for it, and as able as the hands by which it is being forged.

AID THROUGH TRADE - Kathmandu Valley, Nepal

Upon his return to the United States, Damian began to conceptualize the idea of working with artisans in a fair, dignified manner as a way to improve their lives. Damian quickly realized that if he were going to succeed in a global marketplace, he would need to emphasize continual design and re-resign. After traveling back to Nepal numerous times, Damian actualized his vision in 1993, founding Aid Through Trade™, a fashion design company with ethics, and introducing to the world for the first time, The Original Roll-On® Bracelet. Visit the Website

CHIBAN - Ethiopia

Eden Gelan, owner of Chiban, was to bring Ethiopian leather to the marketplace and create employment opportunities with a fair living wage to vulnerable people in Ethiopia. Many marginalized men and women who go through countless rehabilitation programs are unable to find jobs. Coupling our passion for empowering people along with bridging the industry gap was the inspiration for Chibani. The artisans she’s hired come from rehabilitation centers who were formerly sex workers and homeless street children. Training consists of teaching employees how to cut and piece together the leather handbags and wallets the company manufactures.

ENTOTO BETH ARTISAN - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The Entoto Beth Artisans was started by the Beza International Ministries in response to the influx of people living with HIV/AIDS into Entoto, a region on the edge of Ethiopia's capital city, Addis Ababa. Believing that developing income generation was a much better form of assistance than simply handing out aid, Beza Ministries established an income generation project. They chose jewelry making because it is not strenuous, and requires little equipment or other infrastructure.

SYLCA DESIGNS - Philippines

Empowering women to feel confident, beautiful and be able to achieve anything is our ultimate goal — and is why we are so connected to our Artisan Collective. Our partnership with these Artisans allows us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these women, while also giving them a chance to be a part of creating something for themselves while taking care of their families. Many of these artisans are stay-at-home moms and are very local and dedicated to their work. We want to help them live empowered lives by providing the resources to develop their skills and — ultimately — be able to live a healthy, happy life.
