Thankful in All Circumstances
Posted on 01 April 2020
Happy April Fool’s Day! We aren’t joking with you when we say, thank you! Thank you for your faithful support, encouragement, and kindness over the years. We've been in business to end poverty by sustaining jobs for women around the world for five years now, and we are blown away by how YOU, our loyal customers and retailers, have made an impact on so many.
This month, we wanted to pause and take the time to reflect on all the praise-worthy moments we’ve had this season. One of our biggest thank-you-Jesus moments has to be our wholesale relationship with Pharmaca. This all natural health, beauty, and wellness store will be featuring 25 of our products -- both leather and jewelry -- including a brand new product: the Card Case Wristlet! These products will be featured on a kiosk at 26 of the Pharmaca locations around the country, including stores in Colorado, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington and more. This order was a huge blessing to our manufacturers in Ethiopia and India. Each Pharmaca location will receive 4 of each of the 25 items. That’s right -- that’s 100 products per store; 2,500 items total! The security and sustainability this order alone is providing for the 1,300+ women we work with around the world is beyond what we can explain in words. This is why we’re in business. This is why we do what we do. We work to end poverty by sustaining jobs for women around the world.
This large order has been both a blessing and a challenge for our manufacturers to produce in a short amount of time. Likewise, it’s been both a blessing and a challenge for the MyFight team here in Montana to fulfill packaging and invoices in the turnaround time. We could not have completed this project without the help and support from our local volunteers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we broke our volunteers into groups and our packaging shifts into multiple days. We had small groups of volunteers for a few hours at a time and they made the most of every second! We were able to have our packaging printed locally, and our volunteers helped price tag and place necklaces, earrings, and bracelets on branded cards. In the future, we have inquired about paying our manufacturers in both Ethiopia and India to package large orders like these. We would design and purchase the packaging cards and price labels and send those supplies overseas. This, in addition to more wholesale accounts in the future (God-willing), will provide further security and income sustainability for women around the world.
In the meantime, we are thankful for what’s in front of us. We are thankful for the women who work with us in Ethiopia and India, and we are grateful for their health during the pandemic. We are clinging to the truth that God is good and can be trusted in all circumstances. We are thankful for our new partnership with Pharmaca and for the stability it is providing for many women and their families. And most importantly, we are thankful for you. During this season of social distancing and quarantine, please continue to pray for MyFight, the women we work with, and our business relationships now and in the future. Thank you for following along! #herfightisourfight
